Activities

Most of our activities are child-led and the children have access to a wide variety of toys and creative resources such as play dough, paint, and sand to name a few.

We believe that play is one of the most important functions for under 5’s and all of the areas which need to be developed in the Early Years Framework can be achieved through play.

Learning Journey

We incorporate a variety of learning styles such as forest school and Montessori into our curriculum which is aligned with the Early Years Framework (EYFS). The framework consists of the following areas:

Prime Areas

Communication and language
Physical development
Personal, social and emotional development

The Prime Areas are particularly important for learning and forming relationships.

Specific Areas

Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design

The Specific Areas help strengthen and develop the three prime areas, and ignite children’s curiosity and enthusiasm.
